Roche finished second in money earnings with $2,950, cashed in eight of the 11 tournaments, averaged 228, made the finals four times and won one title.
Sim led all rookies in average and money earned. He averaged 226 while taking home $1,500 for the year. His best finish was second place in the championship tournament in November.

ON TV THIS WEEKEND
While the PBA takes a couple of weeks off there won’t be any live bowling action on television. ESPN Classic will air some classic bowling on Saturday and Sunday at 12 noon. Saturday’s telecast will be the 1994 Greater Detroit Open and Sunday will feature the show from this past Sunday in case you missed it. The next live PBA telecast will be Sunday, Jan. 6.
