Daniels of Harper Woods won the Metro Detroit USBC Association Queens on Sunday
with a 211-157 triumph over Stacey Sykes of
Daniels
qualified 11th with a four-game total of 835 on games of
233-185-245-172. In match play she defeated Christine Wissinger of
Sykes
was the top qualifier with a 993 on games of 255-258-247-233. She beat Kim Cox
of
Daniels took home the top check of $1,000 plus a tiara pendent necklace compliments of Ahee Jewelers. Sykes settled for $500.

Charrette-Cianciolo duo defeated the team of Don Braun of Warren and Trey
Edwards of Oak Park 419-414 in a hotly contested match.

Charrette-Cianciolo team qualified third in the field of 32 teams and beat Jim
Strobl of

Braun-Edwards team qualified first and easily beat Kevin Wojcik of

the competition was spirited and the camaraderie was outstanding the real
purpose of the event was to raise money for the Karmanos Cancer Institute and
the International Bowling Hall of Fame and Museum.
Sixty-four
bowlers participated, each bringing pledges and/or selling of raffle tickets in
support.
Over
$9,200 was raised to support the causes increasing the total raised in 17 years
to over $234,000.
