Nunzio
Marino of Livonia and George Gohagan of Dayton, Ohio won the Budweiser Michigan
Majors Doubles tournament at Lodge Lanes in Belleville with a 217-176 triumph
over top seeded Bill Kazmierski of Pinconning and Tom Smallwood of Saginaw.
The
Marino-Gohagan duo split the top prize of $1,800 after qualifying fifth and
beating three other teams in the stepladder finals. The beat Mason Brantley of
The
Kazmierski-Smallwood team cashed for $1,000, Grego-Nolen for $850, Mueller-Frank
for $750 and Brantley-Johnson $650.
The
Kazmierski-Smallwood team paced the 49 teams with a 12-game score of 2,955.
