MICHIGAN STATE RESULTS

The Michigan State Bowling Association 105^th annual tournament has concluded at Oak Lanes in Westland and Westland Bowl in Westland and the results are:

In handicap team event the 4 Right 1 Wrong team from Grand Rapids won with a handicap score of 3,593, edging the Alro Steel team from Jackson by one pin. Detroit area teams Victory Cigar from Chesterfield , Bill & Sons #3 from Warren and Bill & Sons #1 from Warren placed third, sixth and 10^th respectively.

The Alro Steel team paced the actual team event with a 3,574 tally. S and B Pro Shop #1 from Clinton Township and Bubba’s Crew from Eastpointe placed sixth and ninth.

Stanley Roberts and Fred Bonesteel from Attica won the handicap doubles with 1,571. Ryan Briguglio and William Daniels from Eastpointe placed fifth and Douglas Seigfried and David Heins from Clinton Township were ninth.

The Briguglio-Daniels duo won the actual doubles with 1,544. Kurt Pilon and Kerry Kreft from Clinton Township finished 10^th.

Gary Cornish II of Lowell won the handicap singles with 863. Brian Lake of Clinton Township was the top local bowler in 10^th place.

Topping the actual singles with 828 was Christopher Brady of Flint . Brian Lake placed second, Charles Novak of Rochester Hills sixth, Joseph Krajenke of Clinton Township eighth, Glen Campbell of Ferndale ninth and Andrew Bennett of Royal 10^th.

Stanley Roberts won the handicap all-events with 2,378. Tony Russell of Madison Heights placed third and Justin Neiman of Warren fourth.

Christopher Brady won the actual all-events title with 2,354. Finishing sixth was Mark Moore of Clinton Township and Ryan Briguglio, Brian Lake was eighth and Jason Battishill of Waterford Township finished ninth.

The prize checks will be mailed to the team captain of record within the next two weeks.

The 2009 Michigan State Bowling Association tournament will be contested in Lansing beginning in January 2009.
