COACHING
CLINIC AND SCHOLARSHIP TOURNAMENT
While Saturday, Oct. 31 is Halloween, there is another activity that youth bowlers may find of interest during the day.
PBA
star Jason Belmonte, the two-handed professional bowler, and Kim
Terrell-Kearney, star woman bowler, will be hosting a coaching clinic and youth
scholarship tournament at Merri-Bowl Lanes in
The clinic will begin at 12 noon followed by the scholarship tournament at 1:30 p.m.
The cost is $15 for the clinic, which is open to adult and youth, and a $15 entry fee for the scholarship tournament.
The first focus of this event is to showcase the differences and similarities between two-handed and one-handed styles of bowling, and allow bowlers, both adult and youth, to meet and interact with Belmonte and Terrell-Kearney.
The other opportunity is for youth bowlers to compete in the scholarship tournament and the chance to bowl with the two star bowlers.
The top four female youth bowlers will bowl with Belmonte and the top four male youth bowlers with Terrell-Kearney in a three-game Baker style match.
To register for the event contact Merri-Bowl Lanes at (734) 427-2900.
