The
Metro Detroit USBC Association (MDUSBC) has named their
The
teams include men’s and women’s teams based on tournament and league
performance from June 1, 2009 through May 31, 2010.
David
Ewald of
David
Ewald was named captain of the men’s All-City team. He earned 128 points from
his third place finish in the MDUSBC Masters, eighth place in MDUSBC Doubles
with Mark Moore, winning the Michigan State Doubles with Nicholas Wissinger,
eighth from MDUSBC in Michigan State Singles, second place overall in the
Michigan State All-Events and first from MDUSBC in USBC All-Events. He also had
three 300 games, one 299 game, three 800 series including a 816 high and a high
average of 236. This was his ninth appearance on the team.
Rounding
out the men’s first team are Nicholas Wissinger IV of
Wissinger
won the Michigan State Doubles with David Ewald, won the Michigan State
All-Events, was first from MDUSBC in USBC Singles and third from MDUSBC in USBC
All-Events. He also recorded a high average of 233, posted two 300 games and
three 800 series including a high of 804. He is making his 11th
appearance.
Lang
won the MDUSBC Doubles with Ryan VanHecke, won the MDUSBC All-Events, third from
MDUSBC and third overall in the Michigan State Doubles with Kurt Pilon and first
from MDUSBC in USBC Doubles with Mark Moore. He had three 300 games, one 299
game, three 800 series with a 817 high and a high average of 235. This was his
fifth all-city nod.
Pilon
was third from MDUSBC and third overall in the Michigan State Doubles with Jay
Lang, first overall in the Michigan State Singles, third from MDUSBC in Michigan
State All-Events and fourth from MDUSBC in USBC All-Events. He had one 299 game,
high series of 816 and a high average of 230 in making his fourth appearance.

placed second in the MDUSBC Doubles with Kimberly Maddy, won the MDUSBC
All-Events, was fourth from MDUSBC in Michigan State Doubles with Nicole Idziak-Owsley,
ninth from MDUSBC in Michigan State Singles and won the Michigan State
All-Events. She had a high average of 212, recorded one 300 game and two other
games over 279 in addition to 12 series over 700 with a high of 775 in earning
her second all-city selection.
Idziak-Owsley
was 11th in the MDUSBC Queens, fourth in MDUSBC Doubles with Karen
Martin, fifth in MDUSBC Singles, sixth in MDUSBC All-Events, fourth from MDUSBC
in Michigan State Doubles with Nicole Aleo and fourth from MDUSBC in Michigan
State Singles. In earning her sixth all-city designation she had a high average
of 224, bowled one 300 game and five other games over 279 and 21 series over 700
with 776 as the high.
Klug
placed 13th in the MDUSBC Queens, won the MDUSBC Doubles with
Michelle Ewald, tied for eighth from MDUSBC in Michigan State Doubles with
Sandra Schultz and was first from MDUSBC in USBC Doubles with Carol Gianotti.
Her high average of 218 was complemented with two 297 games and four others over
279 and 12 series over 700 with 788 as the high. This is her second all-city
honor.
Goll,
making her first appearance on the team, finished sixth in the MDUSBC Queens,
was third in MDUSBC Doubles with Melissa Lynch, third in MDUSBC Singles, third
in MDUSBC All-Events and second from MDUSBC and third overall in the Michigan
State Doubles with Christine Bator. Her high average was 209, had one 290 game
and a high series of 728.

Heyman of
Points
are tabulated on performance in the local, state and national tournaments; honor
scores and league averages.
