The
Metro Detroit USBC Association (MDUSBC) has named their
The
teams include men’s and women’s teams based on tournament and league
performance from June 1, 2010 through May 31, 2011. A complete list of criteria
is available upon request.
Mason
Brantley of
Mason
Brantley was named captain of the men’s All-City team. He earned 113 points
from winning the MDUSBC Masters, 10th from MDUSBC in the Michigan
State Masters, first from MDUSBC in USBC Singles and USBC All-Events. He also
had nine 300 games, three 800 series with a 845 high and a high average of 241.
This was his third appearance on the team.
Rounding
out the men’s first team are Jeffrey Austreng of
Austreng
won the Michigan State Masters, placed fourth in the MDUSBC Masters, was second
from MDUSBC and third overall in the Michigan State All-Events. He recorded a
high average of 241, posted six 300 games and seven 800 series with a high of
826. He is making his seventh appearance.
Pilon
finished seventh in the MDUSBC Masters, was third from MDUSBC in the Michigan
State Masters, fourth from MDUSBC in the Michigan State Doubles with Kerry
Kreft, second from MDUSBC in the Michigan State Singles and won the Michigan
State All-Events and fourth from MDUSBC in USBC All-Events. He had two 300 games
and a high average of 230 in getting his fifth all-city nod.
Wissinger
is making his 12th appearance on the prestigious team on the strength
of his ninth place finish in the MDUSBC Masters, second from MDUSBC and second
overall in the Michigan State Doubles with Mark Moore and second from MDUSBC in
USBC All-Events. Two 300 games, three 299 games, three 800 series with 831 high
and a high average of 244 completed his resume.
Brown
is making his rookie appearance was second from MDUSBC and second overall in the
Michigan State Masters and won the Michigan State Doubles with Ronnie Sparks. He
also recorded two 300 games, two 800 series with 802 high and a high average of
238.

Roche of Dearborn (78), Craig Nidiffer of
Pacing
the women’s All-City team is Erica Ewald of
Nicole
Aleo of
Aleo
place second in the MDUSBC Queens, second in MDUSBC Doubles with Nicole Idziak-Owsley,
fourth from MDUSBC in Michigan State Doubles with Karen Martin, second from
MDUSBC in Michigan State Singles and first from MDUSBC and third overall in
Michigan State All-Events. In earning her third all-city selection she had a
high game of 279 four series over 700 with 729 high and a high average of 213.
Idziak-Owsley
was fifth in MDUSBC Queens, second in MDUSBC Doubles with Nicole Aleo and fourth
from MDUSBC in Michigan State Queens. She had a high game of 299 and five other
games over 279, a high series of 805 and 10 other series over 700 and a high
average of 222. This is the seventh time she has been named to the women’s
all-city team.
Maddy,
making her second women’s all-city team, won the MDUSBC Doubles with Susan
Labiak, had two 299 games and five other games over 279, had 16 series over 700
with 792 high and a high average of 220.
Patterson
was fourth in MDUSBC Singles, fourth in MDUSBC All-Events, eighth from MDUSBC in
Michigan State Doubles with Julie Halstead, third from MDUSBC in Michigan State
Singles and eighth from MDUSBC in Michigan State All-Events. She had one 300
game, two 800 series with 817 high and a high average of 223. This was her
second women’s all-city nod.
