METRO DETROIT USBC BVL FUNDRAISER A SUCCESS

The Metro Detroit USBC Association (MDUSBC) raised over $2,650 in support of the Bowlers to Veterans Link (BVL) at a fundraiser at Sunnybrook Lanes in Sterling Heights on Friday, Nov. 10.

The event included bowling by 70 participants, selling of merchandise and raffles to raise money on the night of the event.

Nineteen local businesses and individuals were lane sponsors, which helped the total donations.

Event organizer Laura Dembek was very enthused with the turnout and looks forward to bigger and better things next year.

Donations were also received from several leagues including the Afternooners, Dearborn Recreations Ladies, S&B Ladies Classic and Luxury Lanes Invitational Classic.

BVL is a national nonprofit charitable organization which raises about $1 million annually to fund a variety of recreational equipment and therapeutic supplies for America ’s veterans.
