• League Officer’s schools to instruct officials on fulfilling duties to their leagues will be held in August.

• Be sure league rules are approved and each captain receives a copy.  

• Schedule for the complete season should be posted at the establishment or passed out to each team captain. 

• To retain complete coverage for bonding and awards, remember to submit the league certification application within 30 days of the first night of bowling.  

• Obtain complete information on individual membership application cards and send in no matter when the bowler joins the league. 

• Entries for 2008 USBC Open Tournament in Albuquerque, New Mexico , due October 1^st.

• MDUSBC Adult/Youth Tournament at Merri-Bowl in Livonia , October 7 & 14. MDUSBC Junior Masters at Mayflower Lanes in Redford . 

• MDUSBC Mixed Team Event at Cloverlanes in Livonia .  Michigan State Mixed Team and Mixed Doubles Championship Tournament will run weekends October 6-28 in Adrian .  

• Advanced reservations close for the 105^th Annual Michigan State Bowling Association Tournament.  

• Entries close for the Michigan Senior Queens Tournament.  

• Tentative league prize list should be approved no later than five weeks after the start of the season.

 November

• MDUSBC Mixed Team Event at Cloverlanes in Livonia .  

• MDUSBC  Super Senior Masters at Beech Lanes in Redford , qualifying rounds November 3^rd, Head-to-Head competition on November 4^th.

• Michigan Senior Queens Tournament (dates and location to be announced).  

• Entries close for the Michigan State Tournament.  

• Be sure to enter the MDUSBC Masters Tournament, so you don’t get shut out. 

December

• Entries close Dec 1, 2007 for the Michigan Women’s Bowling Association State Tournament to be held in Battle Creek .  

• MDUSBC 500 Women’s Club at Bowl One Lanes in Troy on Dec. 2. 

• MDUSBC Queens Tournament at Beech Lanes in Redford on Dec.2.

• MDUSBC Masters Tournament entries close when 160 entries are received. 

• Secretaries should send in averages of all league members as of December 31, 2007 (Youth averages also required as of December 1^st).  

 January

• The 105^th Annual Michigan State Tournament opens January 5^th with Team event at Oak Lanes  and Doubles and Singles at Westland Bowl, both in Westland .   

• MDUSBC Membership meeting January 13^th.  

• MDUSBC Masters Tournament qualifying rounds January 19^th at Cloverlanes in Livonia , Head-to-Head competition on January 20-& 26.  

• The USBC Women’s Championship Tournament entries close January 2008 (to be held in the Detroit area). 

• MDUSBC Youth Scholarship Team Tournament at Bonanza Lanes in Warren .

 February

• Qualifying rounds for MDUSBC Senior Masters Tournament (50 years old and over) February 9^th at Mayflower Lanes in Redford .  

• Senior Masters head-to-head competition on February 10 & 16. 

• MDUSBC Youth Scholarship singles and doubles event at Bonanza Lanes in Warren .  

• Michigan Women’s Bowling Association State Tournament  runs February 16^th – June 22 in Battle Creek .  

• MDUSBC Women’s Championship Tournament to be held February 23^rd - March 16^th at Sterling Lanes in Sterling Hgts.  

• Be sure to have league meeting before signing contract with the bowling center for 2008-09.

 March

• MDUSBC Senior Team Tournament at Bowl One Lanes in Troy .  

• MDUSBC Open Championship Tournament to be held March 29^th - April 20^th at Troy Lanes in Troy .  

• Annual yearbook average sheets mailed to league secretaries.

 April

• Please complete pre-printed yearbook average sheets before the designated deadline of April 15, 2008 (AVERAGES UP TO AND INCLUDING APRIL 1^st), making sure all required information is included and returned to MDUSBC office.  If secretaries have not received forms, they should call the MDUSBC immediately at (888) 753-6350. 

• The 2008 USBC Women's Championships will be conducted from April 10-July 6 and will be held at Super Bowl in Canton .

June

• Tournament Awards Reception and installation of officers – date to be announced.  

• Michigan Women’s Bowling Association Annual Meeting.

 July

• USBC Junior Gold Championships will be conducted in three bowling centers - Century Bowl in Waterford , Sterling Lanes in Sterling Hgts, & Sunnybrook Lanes in
  Sterling Hgts July 5-11, 2008. 

• The USBC Annual Adult/Youth tournament will be conducted at Taylor Lanes in Taylor .  

• The USBC Youth Open Championships will be conducted from July 7-15, 2008 at Skore Lanes in Taylor , while the Pepsi USBC Youth Championships will be held from July 14-16, 2008 at Sunnybrook Lanes.
